Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I am a full time professional harpist and I perform throughout the Northeast, in person and virtually. I play a wide variety of music including classical favorites, contemporary songs and covers, standards, love songs, Broadway and Disney tunes, Celtic music, and more. I am a graduate of Juilliard, where I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Harp Performance. I work regularly as a soloist and also with many wonderful musicians - violin, cello, flute, singers and more - playing in duos and trios and larger ensembles. I was presented in my New York Debut in Carnegie Recital Hall as a winner of the Artists International Competition. I have appeared in concert throughout America, performed at the World Harp Congress in France, played for Queen Sirikit of Thailand, the Prime Minister of Ireland and other dignitaries and celebrities. I am the principal harpist with the Norwalk and Ridgefield Symphonies in Connecticut and the Westchester Chamber Soloists in New York. I have a CD "Sounds of the Seine" with flutist Donna Milanovich, on the Delos International label. I am also a founding member of the Irish music group Themselves, and the harp duo A Two of Harps. In addition to concert appearances, I have provided music for many weddings and for private and business functions. My clients have included Yale University; People’s Bank; Saks, and the JF Kennedy Memorial Library in Boston. I have appeared recently at the Metropolitan Club in New York City; the Indian Harbor Yacht Club in Greenwich, Wheatleigh in Lenox, MA and the Southwest Harbor Golf Club on Mt. Desert Island, Maine, and many other leading locations throughout Connecticut, Westchester, New York City and beyond. I have the experience and connections to make the music for your special day truly magical. I love sharing the harp and passing on the wonderful training that I received with harp and theory students of all ages from young children through adults. My studio is in South Wilton, and it is very convenient to all the area highways, and my students come from all over Fairfield County and Westchester County, too. I also teach lessons online and I have student harps you can rent to get started. I can share my performances and my wealth of music experiences with you. I also have numerous opportunities for students to perform. I am an Adjunct Professor of Harp at Sacred Heart University and the principal harpist in three orchestras, and I also play regularly with chamber groups and for special occasions. I can also arrange other musicians for special events from my extensive network of wonderful artists! I hope we can work together! I love the majestic look and sound of the harp! People find it fascinating, and I love to share it with people at all types of events, in concerts, and with harp and theory students, too. It is also a wonderful privilege to be a part of the special moments in the lives of my clients - weddings and anniversaries, birthdays, christenings, and memorial services, too. I love how the harp and my music add something unique to the day. I specialize in making the music fit the occasion, and each client's taste - whether it is beautiful classical melodies, pop covers, an all Celtic program, or another request. For me these occasions are never just a "gig" but very special and important.

It’s almost my first year anniversary and it’s taken a while to write reviews, but I want to say that Wendy was incredible. She worked with me to have her playing at the chirch during the wedding AND after at a different reception location. I can’t tell you how many times I e-mailed her with questions/requests. Every single one of them were answered quickly and her advice was invaluable. She was able to work directly with the church and the reception venue with technical specifics which took a TON of pressure off of me. The music was absolutely beautiful and everything I could have ever wanted. We just watched our wedding video. AMAZING all around. I would highly recommend Wendy for a wedding or any other event. My guests were extremely impressed with the variety and quality of what she played. Thank you Wendy

Very professional, on time for very very short notice. Excellent choice of hymns for a funeral, at times the sounds of a piano came through. Amazing Grace was super. Beautiful harp, Wendy stood out on a very somber day. Thank you and God Bless you Wendy! Louise DuBois

Wendy did a beautiful job playing before and during our August wedding ceremony. She was lovely to work with and has a very large selection of music. We are so grateful to have had her perform at our wedding?

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My fees start at $250. Each additional hour is just $125. There may be additional travel fees depending on the location of the event.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Bachelor and Master Degree in Harp Performance from The Juilliard School.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

You should know whether or not the musicians is a full time professional or just does their performing part-time, because it makes a difference, in the level of their playing, and the amount of experience and expertise they bring to your event, or your lessons. I am a full time harpist - no other job - so I am working with music and other musicians all the time! And I love bringing that dedication and experience to the events I play for and to the harp students I work with.
