I initially had an appointment scheduled with Mauro Home Improvement for Monday, October 20, 2025, at 5:00 PM to discuss basement work at my home. Unfortunately, the contractor did not show up, call, or send notice to cancel or reschedule. I followed up afterward to find out what happened and whether they were still interested in the project. The contractor later reached out, explained that one of their employees had suffered a serious injury, which caused a temporary shutdown and prevented them from making the appointment or reaching out in a timely manner. They apologized sincerely and promptly scheduled a new visit. When they came by, they arrived on time, were polite, and provided a thorough explanation of the work needed. They also sent a detailed quote soon after. While the initial lack of communication was disappointing, I appreciated the transparency, professionalism, and courtesy shown afterward. Based on the follow-up experience, I would consider working with them again.
