FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I generally give in-home estimates for free. I will quote a price online if I have enough information. For some simple services I have flat-rate pricing based on a minimum service fee. Also, I don't expect to be paid for most jobs until the job is completed and the customer is satisfied.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I generally assess their project based on either the information they provide over the phone, via email, or in person. I then send them a detailed quote later that day. Unless it's something that I think I can handle that day, in which case I just quote them a flat rate based on a minimum service fee and my knowledge from previous similar jobs as far as materials and time needed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Over the last twenty-five years I have been a machinist, a carpenter, an electrician, and a maintenance technician specializing in plumbing and HVAC repair. I have multiple degrees in architectural design, business administration, and construction management.
