Had my first lesson with Phil and it was awesome. Not only was his energy great, but I could tell right away that he has extensive knowledge and experience playing and teaching guitar. My first lesson was already organized and set up in a way that was super easy for me to follow as a total beginner, and we got right down to business. I feel very confident in Phil's willingness and ability to help get me playing guitar, which is exactly what I was looking for in a teacher. Very much looking to more lessons to come.

Phil was hilarious and kept me laughing the whole lesson while also keeping me informed about the lesson. He is also amazing with a guitar. I had my misgivings at first about virtual lessons instead of online lessons, but Phil was able to help me fix my issues with finger placement and using a guitar pick with no issues despite it being an online lesson. The platform that Phil teaches on is also very interactive with a built-in metronome to help you practice with rhythm and Phil is able to give you assignments and communicate with you all in the same platform which is extremely convenient. I am going to continue to see Phil and if you’re trying to find a guitar teacher, but you’re on the fence about receiving instruction online like I was then I recommend you at-least give Phil one session to work with you and see if you like it. I think you’ll be surprised.
