FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

As a teacher, I am also a life-long learner. I am personally interested in how the brain works in the areas of learning memory and creativity. I am a member of 2 professional music associations: the Positive Music Association and the Children's Music Association. I read their newsletters monthly and attend their conferences annually.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I teach guitar to people of all ages and stages. It's especially exciting to hear and see a big smile when a beginner plays their first song. I love to motivate folks who have played guitar in the past to pick it up and learn and play again. I help people name their dreams and see them through to when they come true (writing a song, performing on stage, even recording a CD!)

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

As a customer, I like to get at least 2 "bids" on the "product". In the case of personal SERVICES, especially when I'm learning something new, I like to talk with the person, ask questions, have them ask me questions, get to know each other. Learning is a process of risk and trust which takes courage and confidence. I believe I offer both!
