Will Taylor is a native Washingtonian. He has been behind the camera since 1987. He is a member of Professional Photographers Association (PPA), Peter Hurley’s Headshot Crew, and Nikon Professional Services (NPS). In 2015, He became the Director of Photography for Taste of the Runway (Washington DC). Since then, Will has worked on many projects for Designers including Abasi Couture, Chander Prakash and others. His work has been featured in publications such as Designer Original, Emerge as well as HERLIFE Magazine. Will is best known for his style of professional headshot photography. He is now pursuing commercial projects for business startups in the Washington, DC area.

I truly appreciate Will for reaching out to me and accepting my photo shoot request. I had a last minute headshot request and it had to be done, this weekend. Will is patient and very detail oriented, as he noticed any defect that showed up on the camera and corrected it before I left the session. He went above and beyond the expectations I had for him and I am thankful I had the opportunity to work with him. He guided me through the session when needed and provided suggestions for even better angles. I am excited about the receiving the finish photos, as the drafts I saw on his can we were already 110% spectacular! The pictures look so goo in draft form, I was willing to take a few drafts ahead of receiving theft all product. Will is flexible, accommodating and reasonable with pricing as he offers different packages. I went in with a budget but the quality of his work convinced me to upgrade to a higher package, which I do not regret doing. It was totally worth the upgrade. I highly recommend Will and I wish him continued success in his business. I will definitely be back for the full body/outdoor photos with n the future.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is not just for me photographing my client. It's about the over-all value and experience. I go to work for my client right away, by understanding the purpose of the photoshoot. This gives me the ability to provide my clients with the end-product they are seeking.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to speak or meet with new clients to discuss their photographic needs. This assures that both the client and I are on the same page. Afterwards, I provide an estimate based on what the client is looking for. I also work with the customer on wardrobe and styling. I also require a retainer for the shoot which is used to book my studio, and secures the scheduled session date & time. The remainder of the balance is due prior to the session. After the shoot, I provide a proof gallery to my client where they will select images for final editing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a member of PPA (Professional Photographers of America), The Headshot Crew and Nikon Professional Services. Through these organizations, I have studied photography among other photographer learning resources.
