FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My fee for a standard session - which entails a carefully crafted menu to suit your needs, grocery shopping, and a five hour cooking and cleaning session - is $400. Consultation services begin at $75 per hour, and catering fees for parties of six or more are based on menu selections and service needs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I couple traditional foods and modern knowledge to help you and your loved ones improve overall well-being. I use only local produce, pastured meat and eggs, and organic whole grains to prepare thoughtfully portioned, nourishing meals. A standard session begins with a custom menu, designed with your needs and budget in mind. I then thoughtfully source fresh ingredients from local purveyors, and spend four to five hours in your home preparing and packaging eight to ten dishes. You’re left with tasty, nutritious food for a week and a clean kitchen. I welcome the opportunity to liaise with health practitioners to treat illness through diet, and I am also available to cater small private events.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a 2014 graduate of the Natural Gourmet Institute's Chef Training Program. This 619 hour program is accredited by ACCET and the New York State Department of Education, and is the only one of it's kind in the United States. NGI offers an interdisciplinary health-supportive culinary education, and empowers chefs to be leaders in the conversation about food and wellbeing through nutrition education, and the preparation of healthful and delicious meals. Additionally, I am certified by the New York DOH and hold a certificate in horticulture from the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens and a food handler's license from the New York Department of Health.
