FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process for working with new customers is to first listen to what they want. It is very important to understand what type of ceremony the bride envisions. Also to help the bride and groom to know how the ceremony process works. All ceremonies have basic parts, what sets your ceremony from the rest, is your VOWS. Your vows are the essential part of your wedding.Your reception is for you to enjoy and have fun with loved ones and friends who came to celebrate your new adventure in life. Whether you want to write your own vows or to use pre-written vows is an individual preference. However, there are many selections to choose from. The key is for your officiant to know both the bride and groom like they were close friends or family.. This can be done by answering a detailed questionnaire, followed up with an in person consultation and more than one in person meeting and phone call. Emails and txt msg are good for setting up times to meet not to get to know you on a personal level.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I work will ALL couples. Love does not discriminate. I welcome all faiths, non-denominational, multicultural, all ethnic diversities welcome and my best friends and biggest supporters, the LBGT community! Many of my LGBT friends have asked me to officiate their weddings. They gave me the push I needed to go viral! I love what I do and I intend to do it for a long, long time.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask questions. You should be aware that in DE officiants are required by law to mail or hand deliver your marriage license back to the proper county office. This is NOT a free or included in price. It's the law. In MD, either party can return the license. Again, this shouldn't be part of the officiant's fee or sound like it's a "freebie" Find out what is included in their fee. I am upfront with my fees and I usually throw in a few extras as a wedding gift. Read your contract carefully. Make sure there are no hidden fees and costs. Mainly, make sure your officiant will do whatever it is you want. I am open minded, have a fun and humorous side, I will dress up and have dressed up in period and halloween costumes. I go with the flow ~ afterall~ it's YOUR WEDDING! I can't stress that enough.
