My name is Sue Cline, and I represent Sweet Vows. With more than 25 years of experience as a wedding officiant, I help couples create ceremonies that authentically reflect their unique love stories.
I have had the privilege of serving clients throughout Delaware and in parts of Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.
I provide support throughout every stage of the process, from our initial consultation to the rehearsal and ceremony, and I also handle the submission of all required state documentation.
My goal is to design a ceremony that reflects your preferences and values, whether you envision something traditional, modern, or a blend of both. With a warm, compassionate, and professional approach, I work to create a ceremony that truly represents your relationship so you can fully enjoy every moment of your special day.

Sue did an incredible job! She came to the rehearsal and helped us fill out the Marriage License ahead of time, which was incredibly helpful! She also gave us several great suggestions for the ceremony speech and the public vows that she then was able to personalize for us based on our experiences and personalities. She was punctual, professional, and incredibly easy to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process! I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a weddingofficiant!

We were provided with amazing examples for wedding ceremonies, vows and ring exchange. We weren’t sure where to begin and we were helped throughout. We did a simple wedding ceremony and will be having the big event in May of next year. She made is short sweet and absolutely perfect. We plan on doing our own vows for May but having the ability from her experiences with other couples to put together our perfect ceremony was the biggest help and took pressure off of us. It was perfect and can’t wait to work with her again on our longer ceremony adding in more personal and family touches. So happy with everything so personal and beautiful!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I strive to keep my pricing fair and transparent. Each quote is based on the time involved, the preparation required, and the distance I need to travel.
In appreciation of those who serve our communities, I offer discounts for military personnel, first responders, and educators. If you have any special circumstances, please feel free to discuss them with me directly.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet with each couple—in person, by phone, or through Zoom—to get to know them and learn more about their relationship. Together, we create a ceremony that reflects their preferences, honors their needs, and captures their unique personalities.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a retired Justice of the Peace (Magistrate Judge), and officiating weddings was an important part of my role. I also worked for a catering company, where I helped set up and serve wedding receptions. Together, these experiences gave me a well-rounded understanding of many aspects of wedding ceremonies and events.
