John was excellent in making my wedding day so memorable. I had to make so many last minute changes and he was able to go with the punches and make sure it all went smoothly at a drop of a hat. My guests would tell me how awesome he was during cocktail hour. A couple of them, including my now husband all play guitar so that's not a light compliment. His song choices were right up our alley, my husband's been playing 'Runnin Down a Dream' since he got home. Very professional, it's great having a person effortlessly create the right atmosphere with little to no direction.

Music Entertainment

Created relaxing environment. Was able to cater to the crowd in terms of genre and learned new songs specifically for event, which he performed as though he has played them before. Incredible value. Guests also asked for his information.

Singing Lessons

John has taught 4 vocal sessions with me so far, and he has singing down to the fundamentals. He's open minded and friendly, and has a lot of experience with guitar & singing. The vocal sessions/exercises he's taught me has been making a significant improvement to my voice. Would recommend!

Guitar Lessons (for adults)

John is a great guitar teacher. He has an advanced knowledge of music theory and conveys it to the student in easy language. My playing has improved greatly since I began my lessons with him. John is proficient in all genres and encourages learning different techniques.

Singing Lessons

What a diamond in the ruff! We feel so lucky to have found John! Our son was looking to improve his vocals for the high school play. Not only has he improved, he just found out he received a major lead as a sophomore. Our son not only benefited from John's excellent instruction, he fostered a great work ethic as well. There's no fooling John, he knows if you haven't practiced. Sometimes after practice, I"ll stick around to pick his brain because what he teaches is so uniquely fascinating. Most importantly, he finds great joy in seeing his students excel and developing their love of music.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

The standard pricing is $30 for 1/2 hour lesson, $35 for 45 min. and $45for 1 hr. I personally think all are beneficial and can push your musical journey forward.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I basically evaluate where the student is musically and rate as beginner, intermediate, or advanced. At that time I develop a game plan to teach the appropriate materials. It is always my goal to get students to the next level within 3 months.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have studied guitar and voice privately with top pros. I also went to The Berklee College of Music in Boston. My teaching strategy is a combination of fundamentals and technique from both studies.
