Introduction: Newman and Sons has over 25 years of experience in the welding and fabricating industry. Our master welder Michael Newman is well known and comes with exceptional references and qualification. We are mobile so we can come to the job site. We specialize in custom kitchen hoods, stainless steel, hand hammered copper and brass. You design it, and we can build it. We also specialize in patinas to give your metal just the look you are looking for. We also fabricate A/C security cages for your outside equipment. We have made over 1500 in the last two years, and we keep our price low for our customers ($150.00 most common sizes).

I had contacted several welders in my area about fabricating a stainless steel counter top for a small rolling kitchen cart. Some didn't handle small jobs. Some didn't even bother to reply to my request. I contacted Newman and Sons through Thumbtack and received an immediate response from DeAnna Newman requesting more information. She was most professional and personable. I received a quote which I felt was fair and placed the order. Dee contacted me a few days later informing the counter top was complete. I picked it up and installed it. It was perfect. When I picked it up, I had a long chat with Mike Newman, the owner and craftsman. He obviously enjoys his work. I would recommend Newman and Sons to anyone who asks.

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes, our hourly rate is $65.00 hour with a minimum two hour charge for any field calls. If you are able to bring the project to the shop then Mike will give you a flat fee.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once we are contacted by potential customer we will offer a rough estimate for their work needing to be done. We ask if they have any drawings or dimension's and what type of material they are looking to use.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Mike Newman has over 25 years experience in Mig, Tig and Stick welding he is also a master layout mechanic. Dylan Newman has been trained by his father since he was a young boy and is now his fathers right hand man.
