What a great experience! I love Thumbtack. Now, I have my "granite guy"!
Edison did an amazing job on my counters. When the new granite counters were installed a month ago, I took issue with the main seam as it was too prominent. When the installers "fixed" the seam, they left the granite scuffed from the sanding that was performed during the repair. This scuffed area was quite obvious because of the undercabinet lighting.
The installation company made five different trips to my house in an attempt to buff out that area of the counter. It finally became obvious to me that there was no way they were going to fix the counters to my satisfaction.
I placed my ad on Thumbtack three days ago. Only today (six hours ago), did I check the responses. When I replied to answer Edison's questions, he told me he would stop by "later in the day" to look at the damage.
Less than an hour ago, Edison showed up. Rather than make an appointment to come back, he brought in his tools and worked his magic. The counter is immaculate! You cannot tell there was ever an issue.
I very highly recommend, Edison and ALBStar Granite & Marble. They are punctual, friendly, and skilled professionals with reasonable rates.
