Iconic producer/sound engineer and videographer Glen Kolotkin has been a superb guest lecturer in my entertainment law classes for years. His background of people he has worked with is nothing short of amazing--The Rolling Stones, Joan Jett, The Ramones, Black Flag, Streisand, Frank Sinatra, Santana (9 albums, including "Supernatural" that won Record of the Year at the Grammys), Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and so many more. I've worked with Glen professionally as well--the best and easiest guy to work with ever! Glen is a treasure who works in all genres. Check out his bio and discography online. Highly recommended. I was first introduced to noted recording engineer and producer (Multi Grammy Award Winner) Glen Kolotkin by famed entertainment lawyer Ira Abrams. Dr. Abrams was one of my professors while attending Florida Atlantic University while pursuing a Master’s Degree In Music. One day at a coffee clutch with professor Abrams, he says “I have a friend I want you to meet” Yes you guessed it, it was Glen. When we met it was magic, we had so much in common, we knew or worked with the same artists; it was so much fun going down memory lane that spanned fifty years+ I was in the process of forming an indie label called Teapot Records. But I didn’t have an artist or material. No problem for a guy like Glen Kolotkin. In the 60’s I managed a Rock Band called “Robby And The Troubadours” that made a lot of noise on Rush Street at a club called the Rumpus Room. I dump on Glen old 45’s, Tapes, and cassettes and even transcripts from radio stations (a motley group of material to say the least) and I say to Glen, “Work your magic and produce an album for Robby And The Troubadours” Walla he put together an album that sounds like it was mastered at a state of the arts (Tool Pro) studio. Some of his stunts I’ll never know how he snipped cut and pasted some of the cuts on the CD entitled “The Bucket List.” Folks I ain’t done yet. Glen sits me on a couch in his home, equipped with a pin spot camera and mike and I ramble on about myself and the band Robby And The Troubadours for about an hour, sounds boring doesn’t it? Not the way Glen does it; for the next few weeks he fills in the background with videos and the band’s music as if it was yesterday. This guy that I love is a genius. I keep trying to find artist’s worthy of his talent. I highly recommend him to any one that wants Grammy Award skills kal fagan

I have been in the music business for many, many years. I have worked with several hundred producers. Many of them are considered to be the top producers in the music business. In my opinion Glen Kolotkin is one of the top 3 producers I have ever worked with. He is light years ahead of most producers because of several reasons: Glen knows and understands the value of songs. Better yet, he knows the difference between good songs and great songs. He encourages changes when he finds them necessary to make the songs more impactful. But best of all, Glen He works hour after hour until he captures what he feels is the necessary result. Additionally, Glen does his own engineering along with a secondary engineer (provided by the client). But Glen has been an award winning engineer for decades. Many of the most iconic recordings of all time have been engineered or produced by Glen Kolotkin.

This was for a last minute, quick and easy job. But no job is quick and easy as planned. Glen flowed with the "punches" and everything turned out great.
