What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Depending on the client's needs, we typically will spend an initial hour to understand our clients requirements then prepare a proposal to outline our services.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
After acquiring a BS degree in Accounting with an IT minor, our managing director Aris Rogers obtained and MBA and received his CPA in 1989. After working for the largest public accounting firm in the world, E&Y, Mr. Rogers served as CFO for a $250+ Million multi-national electronics distributor for 20 years. Mr. Rogers is Certified Intuit ProAdvisor in QuickBooks Desktop and Online products.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Received CPA license in 1989 and have worked for the largest public accounting firm in the world, as well as, served as CFO for a multinational company.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Provide tax preparation services for individuals and companies. Provide accounting and consulting services for small to mid size firms in a variety of industries, including distribution, retail, automotive, and others.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Of course credentials are important, however, a professional service provider should be able to have insight to your business and situation. Being an excellent communicator and "teacher" are attributes that clients should demand.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
It is very important that a client consider a budget for their project and then test their assumption by considering offers of services from multiple service providers.
