FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a range of pricing that goes from flat rate by the job to hourly depending on the type of work. I usually just charge a flat rate for each job. I also give a discount for Senior Citizens and Veterans.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We treat all of our customers with the same respect and down to earth friendly customer service as I hope to get repeat business and referrals as well.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
This question is kind of irrelevant when it comes to the skills and job scope of a handyman but I will humor it anyway. I have a Masters Degree in Electrical engineering and Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Seriously!). I have had training and educational classes in all areas of my expertise which includes plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry etc. since I was in High School back in the 70's. So in conclusion, on top of 42 years of experience, which includes industrial Utilities Power Plant and a Nuclear Power Plant background, I'm probably over-qualified as a handyman but who's checking? I enjoy working with my hands and putting things back in working order and I get tremendous satisfaction from those things as well as the interaction with customers, some of whom have become friends.
