Mrs. Kate has come many times to our school for Red Ribbon Week and other motivational assemblies. Her performances are uplifting, interactive, and send messages that I want all of our students to hear. For instance, her song "I like Bein' Clean" resounds in the students' brains and I'm sure will be remembered when they are approached to do drugs and can say "No, I'd rather be clean". The motivational songs, like "Crack a Book" encourages students to seek knowledge. And her Florida folksongs are an asset to the science lessons about Florida wildlife and conservation. She is awesome and her songs are delightful, encouraging, comical, and inspiring. You and your children wil leave singing her songs for a very long time as they have a tendancy to stick with you. Kate Carpenter has been presenting concerts for the Summer Reading Program at the Flagler County Public Library in Palm Coast, FL for the past 15 years. Our audiences love her family friendly folk songs! She arrives early and is always fully prepared for the job. Kate creates a new program every year to complement each summer's theme. Her concerts are polished, professionally presented and invite audience participation. Kate is definitely on our "call back" list. Theresa Children's Librarian
