Ben is the guy running the show. He came out rather quickly to give me an estimate. At that time, I told him I had the material for everything but deck and steps. He stated he didn't like it when the client purchased the materials because they often got it wrong and he would be short materials while trying to do the job. I found out at the end of the job that he likes to get his own materials so he can charge you more. He stated he was 2 weeks behind before he could start. When the two weeks were up and it was Monday at noon and he still hadn't shown or called, I texted him. He finally responded two days later when I was about ready to go with another company. He said he had lost his phone and had all his customer's information on it. But he couldn't come the next day because of doctor appointments. So now we're looking at 3 weeks before he could start the job. On Monday, the beginning of week 4, I called when he still was not here by noon. He messaged back to say it was raining where he was so he wouldn't be out. Where I was, it rained 5 minutes the entire day. When he finally started the job, he spent 4-5 hours a day working. When I got his original estimate, I replied by asking him if he was including prices of the lumber in the estimate. Reminding him that I had all the materials for the fence and gates. He replied that, yes, the lumber was included, but he would adjust the prices at the end of the job. When the job was finished and he sent me a final amount due, I found that he had adjusted none of the original estimate. He charged me the original price estimate for 2 gates and a section of fence when it was all built with my materials. I was charged over $500 for one step (2×12×16). That price included removing six 2x4 boards that needed removed before he could build the new step. The original estimate included two steps . When I debated the final amount, he said he had given me the $600 discount that is offered on the website for doing all work at the same time. That had nothing to do for charging me after using my lumber. He also said that when there was lumber left over, he would return it and put the money back into the company or his payroll. Final assessment: poor communication Not detail oriented (split pickets put up, uneven cuts) Overcharged, don't take him at his word on anything.

Nothing could have went better. I had 58 shrubs and trees removed and a 1.5 acre privacy fence erected. Could not be happier. By far the best price. Professional and courteous. Highly recommended!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes I do. My standard pricing system is by the sq. ft. for a deck, ln. ft. for Privacy Fence, Interior Trim, Base Boards, and Crown Molding. Estimated man Hr. for Dirt and tractor work, tree cutting and trimming, etc...
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Even with a new customer the Project is still the same. We will build the product the best we can with Pride and our best Craftmanship. We will do what it takes to please the customer anf make them happy.

I have 24+yrs of experience in the construction industry.
