How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started in 1980 as a framing carpenter. In the 1990's work was slow so I took my skills as a framer and started farm fencing, building pole barns, horse stalls, and shade shelters, and went on to residential fencing, such as custom privacy fence and chain link.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Most common for Residential is Custom Privacy Fence, and for Horse farms most common types is wire and top board for perimeter footage and 4 board for Horse Paddocks.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I'm particularly proud of a job I did for a customer who was unsure of how to best use the space available on his horse farm. He has a house in the middle of the farm and I designed a layout that provided access to the horses on both sides of the farm, and ample room for truck and trailer deliveries, keeping his home open for a private driveway.
