I came to Kim almost 2 years ago. As a Para-Dressage rider it is very difficult to find a trainer who is willing to work with me. (Although not wheelchair bound, I do have severe muscle deficits). Add to this the fact that I needed a school horse to ride as well, and finding a good coach and trainer is rough. The day I met Kim changed the trajectory of my riding career. She has a "box of tricks" as I call them. In the box is so much knowledge that she shares so willingly. She has a great way of explaining what she is looking for, and what you need to do. My lessons are always fun. She does challenge me, and has brought me over several humps, and taken me to a whole new level of riding in a short amount of time. She has worked with me (and other clients) on the balance chair & ball, teaching way's to better myself as a rider while unmounted. For me, that is a huge plus. Her education and knowledge in rider body mechanics is vast, and we always end up laughing during the task. Thanks to Kim, I now own my first horse. Kim put the word out, and helped me develop parameters for what I needed. She was always professional when horse shopping. She never tried to get me to go to a higher budget than what I set. Kim and her husband went with me to see the horse I ended up buying. They were also with me when we took the horse for the pre purchase exam, and helped me every step of the way. I also needed a saddle to better fit my new mare, as well as myself. The saddle I owned put me in a total chair seat, which I struggled to get out of. (my last coach thought it was a great fit for me) Kim and I tried several different saddles over a few months. She did research to find the saddle she knew we needed. She found the perfect saddle, had it semi custom made for us at a very reasonable price, and it is truly amazing the difference it has made for both myself and my mare. She never once pushed me into a saddle line that she reped. Kim is all about the best saddle for the horse and rider. Since Kim is still competing herself, she is very supportive of clients who want to show. As a show day coach, she is exactly the same as she is at home. She is very laid back, calm and soft spoken. Her lack of show ground anxiety will help any rider. Working with Kim has been a great experience. She run's a face paced, yet laid back, no drama barn. The care she provides to the horses in her care are second to none! She has a very keen eye, and often see's things and catches little things before they can become problems.
