He didn’t show for two days. I had told him I was in danger of not being able to use my toilet as the raised bidet seat was broken by my first Thumbtack worker. I had two other minimal things I wanted him to do. He actually took off and then put back on the broken seat. I told him that he owed me 10
Minutes. Regardless, I asked him to do the minimal work and he said he was out of time (at that point there was 18 minutes, including the wrong installation) and then told me that I owed him $50. His details said $35 an hour. I wanted him to hang 3 small pictures and move a couple of shelves on my bookshelf. I must say that I am extremely disappointed with Thumbtack. I have yet to receive my refund from the first guy’s non service. Ray did have valid reasons for not showing up, but he was almost impossible to reach. I would have hired someone else not with Thumbtack if I had known he wasn’t going to come for two days.
