I want to start off with saying that the final product of our concrete pad that we will be installing a pergola on top of later turned out amazing! But the journey to get there was complicated. I dont believe that it was the Companys fault exactly. What happened was we had been getting a lot of rain and when they dug the area out and removed the grass there was a lot of mud and water in the hole. The size of the concrete pad was 15 x 25.Feet. Anyway, they put the framing in and the concrete truck came and they poured it and everything looked perfect when they left. They did babysit it for a while quite a few hours and it looked really good when they left. But unfortunately, about four hours later, these weird holes or air pockets started to appear. I texted the person in charge Ruben and he was also very concerned with what was happening and stayed in touch. Two days later, he came out to see it in person and it looked terrible. I dont know if it was because the concrete was poured on the watery mud. But after a lot of discussion, he said that he was going to have to redo the whole thing. It was very unfortunate and everybody was disappointed. We had to wait a couple of weeks for the weather to clear up and they came out and ripped up every thing that they had done and started over. Im sure this was a great cost to the company. We agreed to pay an additional $400 to put down clay, which he compacted with some type of vibrating tool to ensure that everything was dry and compacted so it to not let this happen again. A couple of days later the concrete truck came again and we had no problems this time at all and we are very very pleased with the outcome. We were sorry that the company had to go through that at essentially their cost. But in the end, the job was done properly, and I do believe that it will last for many years to come. I would recommend this company to a good friend. They stood behind their work and redid it when it wasnt to the standards that it needed to be.

Took the deposit and refuses to return it:Signed a contact with Florida Crete in anticipation of permits being granted for a lanai extension. Unfortunately the approval process for a 2 foot variance took much longer than expected and ultimately was denied. I attempted to contact company for several weeks to recover my deposit with no call backAfter calling from a different phone number (seems they were screening my call), finally got a hold of Ruben, who indicated that the deposit would not be returned because it has been more than 30 days since I signed the contract. Now I have to go through small claims to recover both my deposit and the small claims filing fees instead of just dealing with Florida Crete directly.Attempted to give deposit in good faith and kept Florida Crete updated of the status of the permit applications on a weekly basis; never was I told there was an expiration date on the deposit (and is not written in our contract). More of a hassle than anything else to file all of the small claims paperwork, and speaks to how Florida Crete does business.
