Kevin is an expert. He pays attention to detail, has great communication skills, is responsive, professional, and honest. I was looking for someone to remove the breakfast bar and level the wall with the existing kitchen cabinet in preparation for a new countertop installation in my tiny condo kitchen. Kevin provided me with an upfront estimate and was able to fit me into his schedule on short notice. He and his helper worked patiently for several hours to get the job done and hauled away the debris. I was amazed to watch Kevin expertly and confidently use his saw to cut around electrical wires. I am extremely happy with the results and the final costs. It was really great having Kevin work on this project. I would most definitely use him again in the future.

We had a microwave that needed to be installed, and unfortunately it was too heavy to install ourselves. Upon hiring Customer Wodsmithing, he asked for the model of the microwave to be prepared ahead of time, and came with all of the tools he needed. He also had to troubleshoot on the fly while installing the microwave because we didn't have an outlet near the microwave. Not only did he install it, but he installed it to code, and it looked very nice. All of this was less than 3 hours, including having to go out and buy the GFCI outlet, outlet box, etc. I can't say enough great things about him and the work he did for us. I would hire him for every job.

I can't say enough about these wonderful people. We went through quite an ordeal with home depot, They sent the wrong stuff it was just a mess but for my contractor, no problem. I wish I was better with adjectives but I'm not so I will just let you look at the pictures the 1st one is before the transformation is phenomenal. Thank you so much Kevin and Kat😁

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My usual rates include some minimal incidental materials and for projects with little to no materials I can usually get those prices down. If you are a veteran/first responder, struggling on fixed income, or open to being a promotional job let me know as I can typically adjust pricing some in these situations.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I contact the lead or opportunity with and approximate bid, usually an hourly rate and asking follow up details to better understand the job. This will give me a chance to more accurately bid your project and best meet your needs.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been tinkering and building since I was a child, in middle school I entered STEM programs including wood shop classes, and engineering courses. In High school I spent 4 years in shop, taking courses on architecture, design, surveying, project management, building codes, and ADA regulations. For the past 15 years I have worked in the construction and mill work industries furthering that knowledge and experience.
