FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got started in this type of cleaning work by learning the fundamentals of a proper deep clean—starting with kitchens and bathrooms, then moving through high-touch areas, floors, and detailed finishing. I began by helping on jobs with an experienced team, which helped me understand how to handle different surfaces, use the right products safely, and work efficiently with a clear checklist. After that, I started taking on more projects independently. Over time, I built a process around preparation, careful cleaning order, and consistency in the results, so each home is left fresh, sanitized, and ready for the next step—whether that’s a move-in, move-out, or regular maintenance cleaning.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I’m really proud of a move-out deep-cleaning project we completed last month for a two-bedroom apartment. The client needed everything refreshed and disinfected because the home had heavy everyday use and required a thorough turnaround before the next tenant moved in. We focused on the kitchen and bathrooms first—degreasing surfaces, cleaning the oven and stovetop, removing grime from grout, sanitizing high-touch areas, and then finishing with floors, dusting, and detail work in hard-to-reach spots. It took us about 6 hours total with two cleaners. We also used a checklist to make sure every area was handled properly, and the client was happy with how clean and fresh everything looked and smelled afterward.
