Nate kept putting off my job of painting my small bathroom. He said he would be there 9 am, then he showed up w two young workers and had then start the second job, saying he would be there after 4 and then bathroom would be finished that night. Then, he showed up at 8:30 saying he had too long a day, but he would be back bright and early to knock out the bathroom the next day. I bought pizza, and cannolis for the workers, and told Nate he could have some as well. He then promised he’d be back the next day to do the work, and then he didn’t show up and said he was still working on another job and something about rain ruining his work and he would be back in the morning to really start the job. I told him I had a big day and wouldn’t be home. He told me no problem. I asked him should I hire a pet sitter and he said he would let the dogs out as they needed to go and then it wasn’t necessary to hire a pet sitter so I trusted him foolishly. He called me at 4 and said he still wasn’t there! I was livid and told him I was done working w him and hung up. I had to call an emergency pet sitter which was $140 to go to my house and clean up the mess and call my dogs, who are like my children… all of who have abandonment issues. This whole thing has been traumatizing for me and I am feeling so angry. Then he told me I had to pay him $297 for the work already done. I told him I would pay the workers who were very nice myself but I don’t trust to pay him c I know he is a liar and he will just take the money for himself and tell his young workers they don’t get paid bc I didn’t pay him!!! He said he was going to take me to small claims court. He said he would meet me at my house w the police.

Hey Shannon . We apologize for inconvenience but we are not a pet sitting company we are painter’s . You do in fact owe me for the work that was already done . There was a confusion and I even offered a discount to resolve the issue. Nothing was good enough. You originally called me and told me you were going to be home for the morning so I waited for you to get home. I was not aware you were not gonna be home all day long. I never signed up to take care of your dogs. I told you I will get back to the job when you get home. I apologize. We cannot help you with our services. Have a great day.
