FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been playing violin for the past decade in orchestras, musicals, operas, chamber settings, solo, and in church bands. I have a Bachelor in Music Education and a Bachelor in Music Performance from Stetson University, where I was awarded the Frances Buxton Violin Scholarship. I have attended prestigious music festivals around the world, including Napa California, Italy, and Wales, and placed second in the Orfeo International Music Competition 2016.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started playing in a string quartet with some colleagues back in 2009, and soon started playing for weddings and dinners of mutual friends. During my time at Stetson University, I've taken on many more gigs with orchestras, quartets, trios, and solo mostly by word-of-mouth.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with couples for wedding ceremonies- both indoors and outdoors, contemporary and traditional, provided background music for company luncheons and dinner parties, and have played for requested church services.
