I've had dogs my whole life and most often trained my rescues myself. My baby, Tobyn, however, has had some co-dependency issues stemming from the dominance of my larger dogs. This made him scared of well, just about everything. This was a behavior I was having no success overcoming. Thommy immediately took to Tobyn (and he to Thommy), brought about immediate changes, and has since been teaching him about "the amazingly exciting world". We have come so far in such a short amount of time. We can now enjoy walks, go on car rides, and we've even been to the dog park all on our own without needing his brothers "OK". The growth I've seen is tremendous and I look forward to continued learnings (including for me personally). Thank you, Thommy, for your love, compassion, and understanding. I would recommend you to anyone and already brag to friends and family. Truly an amazing find in a world with very few valuable training options.Feb 25, 2020Verified
Great experience! Made me feel very confident in even the smaller improvements in my dogs behavior and was very patient and helpful!Oct 26, 2016
Thommy's compassionate training approach has helped my rescued pit bulls become happy family members. My boy pittie was once afraid of men due to abuse and now he thinks life is a fun adventure where people are awesome (even strangers)! Thommy's approach gave them a safe space to relax and learn what was expected instead of worrying about being punished for doing the wrong "thing" or giving the wrong "answer". As their anxiety and fear levels go down they have the mental ability to deal with new situations and positive behavior has replaced fear based responses (ie unwanted behavior) My diva girl pittie has learned a few new tricks and even shares her stuff, which she enjoys in spite of herself. Thommy's approach produces lasting results. Even though he may be more expensive, the results speak for themselves. A bad trainer is a waste of money. Thommy's doggy clients are well-adjusted, well-behaved dogs!Oct 21, 2016

I literally stumbled over Thommy when he was picking up a rescue dog for training at the vets office and we started talking. I had been on a hunt for a behavioral trainer for my adopted boxer Bronx for the better part of 6 month without any luck - and was on the brink of giving up completely and just resign to the fact that my boy would have to do his walks in the middle of the night, to limit the chances of us meeting the one thing that he was deadly afraid of, other dogs. He had been used as a bait dog as a puppy. All the trainers I had been in contact with up to this point all suggested to use prong collars, e-collars and all sort of negative loaded training. And I just knew this would be the fast track to destroying my sweet baby. So when Thommy told me he didn't use any of the usual "contraptions", and even had the courage to look me straight into my eyes when he did so, I just knew that I finally had found someone that I at least could allow to meet Bronx. To say I wasn't stressed before the first session, would be an understatement. Turned out I didn't have anything to worry about. When Thommy came to our house, the first thing Bronx did was giving him a hug and a kiss. He loved him at first sight. When you watch Thommy work with a dog, it might not look like he is doing something special. But what he did for my Bronx is nothing short of a miracle! It's like he gave him an injection to boost his self esteem. Now, when we're out walking, I don't have a boy who are constantly on high alert for danger that he need to get away from. We still have work to do. But with Thommy's help we got past a huge obstacle that really limited Bronx's life. I was so amazed with what Thommy accomplished with Bronx that I told the board members at Coastal Boxer Rescue, where I volunteer, about it. And before long they started to ask for his help with some of the cbr dogs. First one, then another. Now he have been helping us with several of them. And he always do such a great job!Oct 26, 2016
Thommy had my very scared dog eating out of his hand in 45 minutes and was petting him in an hour's time during our first session. He did a great job building trust and getting Boss to open up to him.Jan 9, 2020Verified
