- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
although we are required to list an hourly rate I prefer to give quotes per project. the quotes include time spent working away from the site (building mood boards, researching materials, shopping or procuring, ordering & returning etc) and will sometimes include for an assistant when necessary
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Because each space is different, each project has its own specific goals, and each client their own needs, typically there is a consultation which is always free. From there I present a general outline of the project for the client to review before committing to anything, this includes general process, time frame, and a costing quote.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
my degree is in textiles, apparel and merchandising and I worked in various visual design fields for over a decade before starting my own business.
