About
My name is Eliana and I am a certified teacher from Venice with 15 years of experience teaching Italian in the New York metropolitan area as well as across the US. I received a teaching certification from the Roccati Teaching school in Rovigo (Italy) and a MsEd from Hunter College (2016). I was one of the first teachers to use Skype to teach Italian to students who did not live in the NYC area. For that reason, I have developed a very effective remote teaching method. My students come from walks of life and they all have their unique needs , learning styles and goals. I teach beginner students through advanced and I also prepare students for standardized tests, school admission and the citizenship test. I found Eliana a few months before my impending trip to Italy. I was in need of a crash course. I already spoke some Italian, but I had not practiced in years and my grammar was shakey. Eliana assessed my skills, and worked on my grammar and conversation. Needless to say she made me gain a new confidence in speaking. I would definitely recommend her! Keith

The best part about learning Italian with Eliana is that she caters each session to the things you need most to meet your personal goals. She also uses a variety of different approaches, mixing lessons and conversations and video comprehension. I'm definitely learning more faster than in a regular class setting.

My experience with Eliana had been very rewarding. I found myself in a position with two weeks before I had to move to Italy for work and needed intensive help quickly. Eliana was very organized, professional and supportive we covered alot of grammar, conversation and culture. I now feel I have the tools to go to italy and figure things out! I would recommend her to anyone who is serious about learning the Italian language.
