My Husband and I found Jay here on thumbtack after scouring the internet for other photographers and finding that many were terribly expensive and we didn't really have a huge appreciation for their work. When I found Jay I loved the realism and honesty in his photographs. Not over edited and not plain or boring. Jay and his assistant worked our wedding and I never had to worry about if moments were being captured, or be stressed about anything they were doing. Our wedding was a little different. It was at Fisheating Creek Outpost in LaBelle, Jay never portrayed any concern to me about the unique venue. He and his assistant both fit right in with our gathering and everything went very smoothly. Jay was also extremely accommodating with my crazy requests; such as setting up (last minute) in an area where my husband could see me for the first time and he was also awesome at capturing the intimate moments of our wedding as well. Also, he never had a problem with my lack of scheduling with the ceremony and reception, he just went with the flow as we were pretty relaxed with the timing and organization of things. The very same night of the wedding he had pictures ready and sent to me for posting to social media and sending to friends and family that couldn't be present at our wedding. Our pictures are truly beautiful and I love each and every one of them! Jay was always able to answer all of my emails and text messages no matter what time of day i needed him. He even hand delivered our images to us on a custom USB drive in a cute little wooden box. Our photography package also included two portraits, which Jay wisely chose for us. They are both stunning and in very tasteful frames; they are going to look fabulous on the wall in our new home! Jay is very professional to work with and I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for an awesome photographer. He does what he does because he loves it, not because its another job! I can't say enough good things about Jay and I am forever grateful to him for our beautiful images because I won't be able to live that day again but because of the awesome job he did I have all the memories I need. Your wedding day goes by amazingly fast, for me way too fast, and looking back I think the photographer was the most important decision I had to make and I'm glad I chose Jay.

Jay Payne did a fantastic job, my husband and I hired him to take pictures at out wedding Monday December 21st, 2015. He was very professional and sincere. He didn't rip us off like most photographers would do if I could tell him to change something it would be to take a break because he did such a good job and was on it the entire time. Not only did he help us with the pictures but he was willing to snap just a few more shots extra when we wanted. Thank you so much Jay we really appreciate you and you will definitely be hearing from us again. Geo and Teesha.

Jay was given a difficult situation to photograph. A wedding at night, outside a restaurant and lots of people interfering with the shots he was taking by using flash while he was shooting. Very irritating. The finished product was of excellent quality and captured the essence of this wedding...he made lemonade when handed lemons. His finished product was very professional.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The price I quote consist of me doing your shoot, a quick edit for review, a full edit on selected prints and delivering your flash drive with your selected prints. I also will help you with purchasing prints etc. If the wedding is large I will add a second shooter so we can capture everyone and everything!!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get a good feel for my client prior to my session. It makes everyone comfortable once that day arrives. I don't rush the session if I schedule a shoot I block out that particular day so if the weather changes or other delays we can still get it in.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm a true Nikonian and I try to attend all the photo expos. I'm an active member Professional Photographers of America Member #8329851 and Model Mayhem.
