Introduction: As an award winning designer, I am proud to have received a showcased designer February 2019 for The Design Network. We also received the Best of Houzz 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and Best of Thumbtack 2015 and 2016! It was a privilege to be chosen to design the master bedroom suite for the Riverside/Avondale Designer Show House 2016 and the dining room in 2017. I believe listening to the client is the most important part of design. Posh Home Designs also offers full-service Interior Decorating and Interior Decorating consultations. We are in tune with trends, fashions and all styles including, traditional, contemporary, eclectic and more. My niche is knowing how to pull a room together using color, (not just on the walls) specifying materials and finishes for renovations and putting the final touch on an interior with the right styling and accessories. I adore my job! I love helping people while being creative. I am part: designer, decorator, problem solver, counselor, organizer, friend, life coach and so much more. Melanie and I clicked as soon as we met. She had great ideas from the very first meeting. I knew I needed a nudge (Sometime a big push) away from my same old rut and she took me there. Painting, updating doors, rearranging rooms, replacing lights and carpet, adding drapes and updating room décor. She was a great advocate for us in dealing with contractors and we appreciate her expertise and desire for quality. Her husband Paul, who did all the labor in the home update, is a true professional. I highly recommend Melanie for any home design project. She know her business and does it with excellence.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
As long as I remember I have loved decorating. Even as a child I would visit furniture stores and look at decorating magazines. My friends and family would tell me how talented I was and that I needed to get into interior decorating . With over 10 years of kitchen and bath design, I decided to expand my decorating talents by getting my credentialing to do what I love best, full service interior decorating.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Redesign: Redesign is a makeover, face lift or rejuvenation of the beautiful things you already own. Imagine your rooms as those shown in a model home. No, You don't need to refurnish your home with the new trendy designer-endorsed pieces. Redesign your space by using what you already own. Your space will be functional and will reflect the needs of your lifestyle. Your space should showcase your treasures and highlight your personal style. Perhaps you need to maximize your seating or free up more floor space for entertaining or simply arrange your lovely belongings to give your home a fresh new posh look.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask for a website showing photos of previous work. Get references and see credentials.
