- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $100 an hour, four hour minimum, plus the cost of food and supplies. Extended travel may require a surcharge as well. I cook on-site. My maximum guest number is 15-20 for a buffet style meal, table service means paying part time help at $15 an hour. I am not a caterer--if your home kitchen cannot accommodate food preparations, service and storage, then you need some other kind of chef. I also do not prepare and deliver food as this is a violation of health codes unless I work out of a commercial kitchen. As a contract worker in your home, health inspections are not required.
