This is the worst company I’ve ever hired on thumbtack.
Steve came over and gave me an estimate for a ton of work I needed done for an Airbnb.
He took a $3000 deposit and told me that his team would start working at 6am yesterday, knowing that I had a guest checking in today.
By 7:30 no one was here. I called and he sounded like he was asleep. Told me he was on his way.
For the next 5hrs he told me he was on his way. Two guys showed up & sat in my yard for an hour then left.
Steve showed up at 12:22 wearing flip flops and promising he can still do the work inside the house, even though I had a 2pm deadline before I had to leave.
He wanted me to give him access and leave him in the house.
I refused because everything he’d promised so far had not happened.
I told him to just work on the front of the house, painting and cutting back trees.
Already my $3000 seemed lost because the inside work was not going to be done, the backyard work was not going to be done.
He had the audacity to expect me to pay the remaining $2000 from the quote he gave me even though more than half the work would not be done. He said he would spread bags of mulch for me to make up the difference (it wouldn’t make up the difference)
He didn’t even do that.
I came back last night to find my front porch filthy, covered in muddy footprints.
My gutters had been painted on and the bags of mulch were still stacked in the driveway where I’d left them.
Now I have a guest checking in this afternoon and 3/4 of the work he quoted me was not completed.
My yard is a mess. I spent an hour picking up paint scraps that were littered all over my front yard.
Judging from the way they left my front porch, if I’d let them into the house, they would’ve destroyed it.
I paid $3000 and ended up with more work that I started with.
The lack of accountability is mind-blowing.
He actually called me after I left them here “working” to try to convince me to pay him another $2000.
I feel like I am in the twilight zone.
And I have a guest checking in today in a few hours.
Not only did he take my money and not complete the work, he is now affecting my guest’s experience and I will end up losing more money there too.
This was a disaster. A VERY EXPENSIVE DISASTER.

I hired a contractor from craigslist and what a nightmare. Luckily I from Renovation Management. They make you feel like family . They truly helped me I was low on funds due to the past contractor , Money was tight !! But Steven from Renovation management said they can do the project in phases to help with the cost . And the price was so reasonable so initially I was quoted by the other contractor 15,000 for the project. Steven matched the quote and actually gave me a 2500 off the price to help me out. All I can say is these guys came in and saved the day . Definitely will recommend them
