FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes. Pricing is highly competitive and based on number of sessions estimated for each project. I use a business model that offers discounts for larger size projects.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start working with clients through listening and responding to specific needs. Professional Organizing is a relationship business. You're entrusting someone in your home to work with you on organizing your personal possessions - you need someone who is service-minded and competent. As founder of Tampa Bay Professional Organizers (a legitimate licensed business that is bonded and insured), it's important to me to begin work by fully assessing the situation and offering solutions with fair and affordable pricing. I absolutely love what I do, and I believe it is my calling to assist clients through the maze of clutter, disorganization, and "too much stuff" to make life simpler and more joyful. I recommend a "whole house strategy session" which is 1-2 hour in-home appointment as a first meeting that determines challenges, goals, and proposal for organizing sessions to provide you solutions. The number of sessions you'll need for your projects is discussed and I offer affordable options. I help with sorting what to keep, donations drop off, shopping for storage solutions, creating space and efficient systems.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a member of the National Association of Productivity/Professional Organizers. I have received formal training in organizing from some of the best in the industry. I am an affiliate to a variety of "organization product" companies and can make recommendations on storage solution products, if desired by clients. I am a psychologist and although I don't provide "therapy", I know that my approach to organizing homes helps home owners make life changing permanent improvements in managing their homes. I have found many clients are in a life transition (moving, struggling with work/life balancing or time management, divorcing, creating space for guests, grieving loss, emotionally attached to stuff, overwhelmed or don't know where to start, wanting to start new habits, etc.) so I work side by side clients during organizing sessions and coach them and find solutions - more than just arranging and moving possessing.i
