Introduction: I offer sports medicine acupuncture. I am the only certified sports medicine acupuncture specialist in Central Florida. Part of the traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis is accomplished through postural assessment (active and static). I treat professional athletes, as well as weekend warriors and individuals who simply want to get back in the game. Treatments include biopuncture, kinesio taping, auricular acupuncture, Chinese herbs, homeopathics, nutrition, traditional acupuncture, tuina (Chinese massage, when needed), smoking cessation protocols, fertility, PTSD protocols, pain management, cupping, natural alternatives for labor induction, and more. In general, our bodies want to be in a state of balance, and that is what acupuncture and Chinese medicine do: look for the root cause of the disease and help the individual's own immune system to regain that state of homeostasis-balance. My goal is to help people find an alternative solution for today's ailments through a traditional medicine that has stood the test of time.

Sara is friendly & professional. I was nervous my 1st visit and she made it very comfortable. I went for plantar fasciitis on my foot and the pain went away after 2 treatments...I was thrilled! I now go on a regular basis!

What types of customers have you worked with?
Acupuncture for athletes, weekend warriors or beginners. Pain relief for Plantar Fasciitis, Low back pain, knee pain, ankle and leg pain. Pain relief for Morton's neuroma - no surgery needed after a series of treatments. Shoulder pain relief.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My practice is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), which is what I studied. However, I specialized in Sports Medicine Acupuncture which allows me to practice in a way that is non traditional although it is based on TCM. I understand athletes and the need to get back in the game. We work together, patient and practitioner. Depending on the severity of the ailment, an exercise prescription will be part of the treatment. If you decide to come see me for acupuncture and that is your first time, I will do my best to ease any kind of first treatment anxiety. :-)
