Ed is an extremely patient and knowledgable teacher. Several guitar instructors I talked to, would not even attempt to teach an 8 yr. how to play, Nashville Ed didn't even blink. He has helped my daughter tremendously on her technique in a short period of time and is always available if she (or I) have a question.

Ed welcomed the challenge of working with my nephew who has Asperger's Syndrome. He scheduled a meet and greet session with him to assess their compatibility as well as his desire to learn to play the guitar. I feel Ed is genuinely interested in teaching my nephew as well as better understanding his "gift". Ed recently installed a video feed of the lessons, so the student's family can view it. I am very excited about this capability and thoroughly enjoyed watching for the first time this past week. I am very impressed with Ed's teaching technique which shows respect for my nephew, while at the same time making allowances for his unique requirements. He speaks to him as an adult and explains the what and how of the various guitar techniques, and includes the why. My nephew is responding very well to Ed and seems to really enjoy learning to play the guitar. Ed has also provides email recaps of the lessons to my nephews family and assess his progress. He notes areas where my nephew excels as well as areas that need more attention/practice. I am very pleased with Ed and highly recommend him to anyone seeking to learn to play the guitar.

I've had two lessons and could not be happier. Ed quickly accessed my level of guitar playing, and the lessons have built on that. While he can teach all styles of guitar playing, we are focusing on the blues, as that is my preference. Not only is he exceptionally patient, organized, and a fantastic player and teacher, he is also a pleasure to work with.

Ed is an accomplished musician who teaches the techniques he has learned over the years. He is very patient and presents learning in a way that is easy to comprehend. The videos he provides are invaluable and you can download and watch them as often as you need in order to master what he has taught. I am a 66 year old grandmother and am so glad that I found Ed on Thumbtack - I look forward to going to my lesson every week. My grandchildren now want to start to play an instrument and I look forward to one day having Ed teach them also. Thanks Ed, for sharing your knowledge and expertise!

Ed has been a great motivator. Although I'm probably the most music challenged person Ed has done an excellent job instructing me. And the fact I don't have much practice time doesn't help the process he has been extremly patient and encouraging. His instructions are clear and to the point and he does not sugar coat anything. He tells you like it is.. I couldn't imagine learning from anyone else I'm more than happy with Ed's ability to teach me.
