Thumbtack only allows one to choose 3 out of 5 qualities amongst work quality, professionalism, punctuality, responsiveness, value so I chose the first three. From the beginning Chef D was the ultimate professional, from day one. When all the other folks I spoke with were providing templated New Year’s menus that did not feel unique to our group i.e. delivered warm in tins and served as a plus up, Chef D came through with a curated menu tailored for our group, but with own his recos in response based on his relationships in the industry (we’d come to find out he wasn’t kidding about these relationships-both local and beyond-you can’t get fresh oysters like this in South Florida). He and his lovely fiancé and business partner were very prompt both on the contract/finance side and in showing up when they said they would. They brought all the bells and whistles and only prepared what they could in advance that would not sacrifice on taste in the finished products. The hors d’œuvres kept coming, each with a full explanation of what they were and how they were made, as did the three courses to follow and the desert. Chef D and his partner Mary were very personable and engaged us in conversation around the fare, but always allowed us to continue with the conversations going on within our own company. It was the perfect mix, and we even learned a few things! They told us they would leave their workspace cleaner than the state in which they first encountered it, and it was true. Sparkling. We woke up in the morning with out a thought of waking up to a mess. I simply cannot recommend enough. We’re New Yorkers so like to think we know what we’re talking about when it comes to food. It was worth every penny—not more than a group of 8 would have paid for a legitimate dinner of this scale at a fine dining establishment. Chef D and Co are the real deal and we will definitely be dining together again. If you’re handling the coordination of your next dinner party-should you choose Chef Daniel, expect to be receiving kudos for weeks to come.

We hired Dan and his team to deliver a black tie holiday 6 course tasting menu with passed Hors d’oeuvres for 16 people. The communication was fantastic from the start, they completely understood the concept we were trying to achieve and a few quick comments on the menu produced a result we were excited about. That was just the beginning! They communicated flawlessly through the setup and renting of tables/plate ware, etc. The team arrived on time on the day of the event and jumped right in setting the table and preparing. When the first guest rang the doorbell the bartender had drinks ready, the team kept the house spotless and really kicked the event off on a high note. Then we got our first taste of the food. To say that they absolutely crushed expectations is an understatement. They over delivered and absolutely wowed everyone - they essentially delivered a 5 star gourmet pop up restaurant in our house. The service was flawless and amazingly timed given how many plates they prepared - over 100 in total. The event was so successful that we have already rebooked Dan and the team for our next pop up experience early next year. They exceeded expectations from start to finish and delivered an unforgettable experience. Forgive my amateur photography, my picture taking does not do the beautiful plates the team created justice!

Wedding and Event Catering

Chef Daniel went above and beyond to offer a great culinary experience. The food was delicious, and presentation was impeccable. Also, he suggested to add Marianne to provide on table service, and definitely she upgraded the experience even more. They deliver a high end dinner and service. Definitely, I would hire their services again.

    AoS in Culinary Arts as well as 20+ years in the restaurant/catering business. Certified Food Manager in Florida and New York.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    My grandfather was a master chef and butcher in Germany. I worked with him during my summers growing up and continued my career in love of professional cooking and hospitality after university.
