- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I completed the required Florida notary training course in order to receive my commission. I also completed the Loan Signing Agent and Remote Online Notary courses and I’m certified in both. I’m also a licensed realtor.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently did a loan signing for a young couple purchasing their first home.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Obviously you want someone who’s affordable and convenient but it’s more than that. Notary work is not just a ‘stamp and sign’ business you want someone who’s familiar with Florida’s notary law, what’s needed for a notary seal to be legal. And lastly, you want someone who will stand by their work. I know the anticipation and anxiety that comes from buying a home, especially the first one, and how complicated and overwhelming the signing can be so I made it a point to explain what each document they were signing was to make the process as smooth as possible.
