- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $10-20 per picture to retouch skin or edit with the trendy Instagram look. I offer complimentary blemish removal in all pictures. Any travel over 30 miles would require a $25 flat rate travel surcharge. The more we work together, the more I discount!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process is broken down into 3 chapters: consult, shoot, post-care. In the consult, we sit and talk about your vision and goals. This is the time I ask you to send me any inspiration photos, and I’ll show you my portfolio as well. We discuss pricing and a date and location. Once agreed upon I prepare a contract, invoice and itinerary. There is a confirmation correspondence sent the week of the shoot. During the shoot I help to pose and direct the subject(s). We play music. We make sure to keep the atmosphere light and fun. After the shoot, images are delivered fully edited within 72 hours usually using PixieSet, a digital album. The client is allowed to choose if there are any photographs to be retouched up to 10 complimentary and more will require a small fee. Post care is concluded with a thank you letter and a discount offering on the next shoot.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am all self-taught. The greatest lessons I have learned is through my experiences and through trial and plenty of error. I’m committed to growing and educating myself constantly!
