- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a pretty standard rate. I usually charge $25 for a 30 minute lesson, or $40 for an hour lesson.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I attend at least 3 different state conventions that offer opportunities for skill building and increasing current knowledge.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was at college, I originally did not know what I wanted to major in, and didn't know what career I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I knew I wanted to have music in my life in some way, but wasn't sure whether it was something I should make a career in. I tried music education as a major because at first it seemed the most practical. I soon discovered that music education was so much more that I previously had assumed; it was what I was looking for. It combined two of my main passions, music and helping people. After I learned what good I could potentially do with music education, I knew it was for me.
