This was the best painting experience I have ever had! Bob and his helper painted the whole house in one week. He was easy to work with, the job was done with perfection. I would hire Optickspaint again without reservation. They even vacuumed before they left.

Bob is great. I have already hired him again for phase 2 of my painting job in a couple of weeks. I have also already recommended him to my mom who has some painting she wants done. I highly recommend Bob. He was great across the board - no complaints whatsoever.
1) He responded to me on Thumbtack almost instantly and then came by my house the same day to take a look at the scope of work and give me a quote. Bob communicated extremely well and was always extremely responsive for any questions, scheduling, etc.
2) Bob is flexible with scheduling and punctual. Each day he showed up right on time.
3) The quality of work Bob does is great. I am extremely, extremely picky, but thought Bob did a fantastic job. He is detail oriented and spends time to get things right and make all the minor details look perfect.
4) Bob's pricing was extremely reasonable.
5) Overall Bob is a nice guy with a good attitude.
6) Bob was careful and respectful of my house. He covered everything with drops and kept things clean and tidy.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
*I think every prospective Thumbtack customer should know that we get charged a fee for every communication with a potential customer. That's fine, but please know that we get charged to give you that price for free.
The most important variables that effect the price of a paint job are:
1- What color and finish are the walls/ceilings now and what color and finish would you like them to be?
2- Condition of the walls/ceilings/trim?
3- Is there furniture or will the area be empty?
Once those questions are answered, then a more detailed in-person estimate can take place.
Also, “touch-ups” never match, unless you’re touching up something that was very recently painted. If you want it done correctly, don’t ask for “touch-ups”. Plus, busy/good painters couldn’t be bothered and you’ll end up with the bottom of the barrel!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Basically, I usually ask a few questions to get started and make an appointment to go and see the job in person to give a more accurate quote.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been a painter for 32 years and have extensive experience in all areas of the trade.
