After taking over the marketing department for our Real Estate office I contacted Christian who built our website years ago. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing for website design varies. Pricing all depends on the client's desires - there is no "One Size Fits All" pricing schedule. A simple brochure website with content provided by the client is vastly different from an eCommerce website with hundreds of products and shipping and tax modules. Typically, a "basic" website starts around $800-$1000. CMR Web Studio offers discounted pricing for veteran's and non-profit organizations.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If it is possible, it is preferred that the first meeting with the client be in person, either at their establishment or a central location. A face to face meeting makes it mush easier for the client to convey their desires and gives the designer a feel for the client's energy. However, in today's modern area, website development work is often done remotely. The initial meeting can take place over the telephone.
