FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
At STAR Security Inc., our pricing is structured to remain transparent, competitive, and tailored to the specific needs of each client and site. Our standard security services are billed on an hourly basis depending on the type of assignment, level of risk, location, and required staffing. All estimates include a clearly defined hourly rate, minimum shift requirements, and total projected cost so clients fully understand their expected investment before services begin. Key Pricing Information Clients Should Know: • Minimum Hours: Most security assignments require a minimum billing period of 6 hours per officer per shift. • Hourly Rates: Rates vary based on service type (unarmed security, armed security where applicable, event coverage, overnight patrols, and high-risk assignments). • Holiday Rates: Services performed on recognized federal holidays may be billed at 1.5x to 2.0x the standard hourly rate due to increased demand and staffing requirements. • Emergency / Short-Notice Fees: Requests requiring deployment within 72 hours may include additional administrative or staffing fees. • Overtime Billing: Extended hours beyond scheduled shifts are billed at the contracted hourly rate unless otherwise specified in writing. • Administrative Fees: Post-order changes, schedule modifications, or special operational adjustments may be subject to administrative fees depending on complexity. • Discounts: Long-term contracts, recurring monthly service agreements, and multi-site coverage may qualify for preferred pricing or negotiated package rates. All pricing is finalized prior to service commencement and confirmed in writing to ensure full transparency and mutual agreement. Our goal is to provide fair, consistent, and reliable pricing while maintaining the highest standard of professional security services for every client we serve.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At STAR Security Inc., our onboarding process is designed to be efficient, professional, and transparent so new clients receive the right level of protection from day one. 1. Initial Contact & Consultation We begin by reviewing the client’s request, property details, and specific security concerns. This may include a phone call, email exchange, or site discussion to understand coverage needs, risks, and scheduling requirements. 2. Site Assessment & Service Recommendation Based on the information provided, we evaluate the location, scope of work, and security objectives. We then recommend the appropriate staffing level, coverage hours, and service type (such as unarmed security, event coverage, or mobile patrol). 3. Proposal & Pricing Submission A formal proposal is prepared outlining the scope of services, hourly rates, minimum shift requirements, and any applicable terms such as holiday rates, overtime, or special conditions. All pricing is clearly documented for client approval. 4. Client Approval & Agreement Execution Once the client approves the proposal, we issue a service agreement for signature. This includes all operational terms, billing structure, cancellation policy, and service expectations. 5. Scheduling & Dispatch Coordination After execution of the agreement, our dispatch team schedules officers, assigns supervision, and coordinates post orders. The client is provided with confirmation of staffing and start date. 6. Service Deployment & Field Supervision Security personnel are deployed to the site according to the agreed schedule. Supervisors monitor performance, ensure compliance with post orders, and maintain communication with the client as needed. 7. Ongoing Communication & Reporting Clients receive incident reports, updates, and continuous support from our management and dispatch team. Adjustments to service can be made as operational needs change. 8. Review & Continuity We regularly review service performance to ensure client satisfaction and long-term reliability. Contract renewals, expansions, or modifications are handled seamlessly based on client needs. Our goal is to make the process simple, structured, and reliable while delivering professional security services that clients can depend on with confidence.
