FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is very basic. Flooring and painting are by sq. ft. Handyman type items are by the hour. Demo, dump fees, equipment rentals are a flat rate fee.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. Absolutely. That's what sets us apart. My supervisor and I just completed a course present by the NAHB for High Performance Building Envelopes. Basically keeping your home water tight, air conditioned proficient and insulated properly to reduce electrical bills. It was basically a green building course to keeping the house warm in the winter and cool in the summer without driving up your electric bill. We also do about 2 new IICRC certifications a year plus we also do 15 continuing education courses every 2 years as required by the state to maintain our licenses. This is a big reason why we only work with licensed contractors because they take the time and effort to continuously study and master their craft, instead of handy Joe whose "been doing it for 25 years and never had a problem."
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I am a 3rd generation contractor and was born with a hammer. So when my father needed help, I was his helper. When I needed a good paying job my father had work. I always had a skill outside of college because of the things I was taught early in life from my father. Even after trying other things I always came back to building and reconstruction. Seeing the product of a hard days work is very fulfilling. Lucky for me my employees share that passion.
