Introduction
First, I specialize in working with beginners of all ages. I love seeing people succeed, and I give lots of encouragement mixed with just the right amount of instruction and direction. My focus is on making lessons fun while laying a solid foundation for lifelong music learning.
I love sharing my students' joy as they develop new abilities. I offer small, new challenges at every lesson, and watch as my students meet those challenges through the magic of practice.

Kristin has been a fantastic violin teacher for me. She's very sweet, very patient, and definitely knows what she's doing. Whenever a section of music proves difficult she's always encouraging and provides excellent tips and tricks that make the passage much easier to play. For me personally her studio is a bit of a drive away, but the trip is always well worth it. I definitely recommend her to any level of violin player, whether you're just beginning or just looking to refine your technique. =)

My 2 daughters (6 and 10) took violin lessons with Kristen for 2 years in her home, which was always clean and tidy. She was a friendly and attentive teacher, providing homework and video instruction for the girls to utilize at home. At the end of each year there was a small recital, which allowed the girls to show their progress through the year as well as gain experience with new people, as they performed with Kristen's other students. I would absolutely recommend Kristen as a violin teacher.

Kristen worked with me as her oldest student (I am 45 years old). She is very patient and soft spoken which helps when trying to learn the violin. She was very flexible in scheduling time to fit around my work. I enjoyed every lesson.
