I took private lessons with Pat for about two years, it was phenomenal. Pat’s attention to detail, calm demeanor and detail oriented style of teaching was the best. Each week we would build off the previous lesson and drill until we got it. I highly recommend Pat, he is one of the best people I have met in Jiu Jitsu.

Highly recommend. Pats been my main No-Gi instructor for the last year or so. His instructions are easily understood and he'll correct the small mistakes you're making to help tighten up your game. My wife and I have also taken multiple private lessons with Pat for No-Gi BJJ because, in addition to his quality instruction, he is friendly and makes those newer to the art comfortable.

I’ve been training no-gi Jiu Jitsu under Pat for just over 2.5 years (currently a blue rash guard). Pat has consistently been a great coach that truly nails the smallest details to make the techniques work. Having trained with Pat in both group classes as well as taking private lessons from him, I can confidently say that adding the privates was one of the most beneficial things I have done to improve my Jiu Jitsu, and has changed how I roll to this day. Highly recommended.

Pat teaches a great class covering the fundamentals as well as higher levels instruction for Competition. He creates a fun environment that is welcoming to everyone especially for beginners. Highly recommend Pat as an instructor.

I’ve trained at many gyms and pat’s ability to teach is second to none. There’s a lot of good fighters out there but the ability to teach is rare. Regardless to whether it’s the basics or advanced technique he explains thoroughly and in a way anyone can understand. Not only does he make sure that each step is done properly he always makes it a point to explain the reason behind them as well. His understanding of the sport shows within minutes of working with him and I would recommend anyone to learn from him. Aside from his knowledge he’s a great person as well. He takes pride in his craft and gives his all whenever he steps in the gym to teach.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Hello, I charge $100 per an hour for a session. I only do 1 hour sessions. I find any longer leads to fatigue and clients not getting the most of their technique. I also offer packages: 5 privates - $450 10 privates - $800
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically we start off by having a conversation on what they’re looking to gain in their lesson. A lot of times I deal with newer students who I help by leading them through the basics. Once the are comfortable we begin to move into more in depth techniques that help build their game.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve taught kids jiu jitsu in the Gi and NoGi for over 10 years. I alap taught adults BJJ and striking for many years. I’ve coached amateur and pro MMA fighters over the years and have had great success as a cornerman. For education, I do have a masters degree and for my full time job I train various learning styles on a proprietary software.
