My academic experiences include 13 years of studying guitar through private lessons, as well as attending Rollins College with an emphasis on jazz studies. I regularly gig and perform in live acts, and specialize in rock, jazz and metal. If you are looking for a teacher with an open, modern approach and a genuine passion for guitar and music education, let's schedule a lesson! My philosophy as an instructor is to supply each student with the tools necessary to perform anything that inspires you, while instilling the proper technique and theory knowledge that will allow you to be unhindered by any physical or mental limitations.

My child has been in lessons for a while and I was not satisfied with his progress. One lesson with Alyssa and I already felt he learned more than he had the previous year. She's was patient yet was able to keep my 8 year old son on task (which can be challenging). She used every bit of our 30 minute lesson for teaching and he still was not overwhelmed. She encourages taking notes and gives manageable homework. I was very pleased.

Alyssa is AWESOME. She is patient and so nice. I have very bad anxiety but she never makes me feel stupid. Instead she works harder to ensure I am comfortable and that I understand what she’s teaching. She’s also very flexible and never cancels. The price is unbeatable. She has such a passion for playing guitar and it truly shows.
