Introduction
I truly believe that no matter what your goals are, you get the best results by finding something you truly enjoy doing and then try to get better at it. This happens by emphasizing proper technique in all sports movement. Too many people take up new sports or fitness programs later in life believing that they already know how to run, swim, ride or exercise. They end up with injuries caused not by traumatic events but by overuse of improper technique. So many trainers try to prove their workouts by making them long and hard; we prove our worth by making sure you know how to do things properly before you try to do them hard. It is really is a great joy to look in the eyes of our students when the "light goes on" and they understand how to do something the right way. Great moments come the first time a student stands up and rides a wave all the way to the beach or figures out how to ride a bike up a tough hill without dying halfway up. Find your athletic passion and you'll find that you reach your goals, whether it's doing your first 5k, surfing your first wave, getting through a triathlon, getting "toned" or hitting your target weight. All those things are within your reach; it's our job to help you get there.

FAQs

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

We recently hosted a woman who had grown up in Miami but had recently moved to Atlanta. For her 30th birthday, she and her friends from Miami rented a beachfront house and signed up for a surf lesson. On a perfect Friday morning, we took five non-surfers (three women and two men) out into the water. By the time we were done, all five had caught multiple waves, stood up and ridden them all the way to the beach. They were laughing, helping each other out and having a wonderful time. It was total Aloha. You could just tell their next trip together would be to Costa Rica and some other exotic surf destination.
