I have had approximately 7 2-hour lessons with Yamilah. I was a complete novice to salsa, and Yamilah has made it so enjoyable and rewarding to learn. She is constantly adapting to my learning style and finding ways to keep moving me forward even when something is getting me stuck. She explains things very clearly. She has an awesome and upbeat attitude. Highly recommend.

I had my first class with Yamila last Saturday and she was super nice!
She teaches in an easy way, with very simple tips that are helpful both for the basic steps as well as for a more complete choreography.
She was flexible and accommodated as much as possible to fit our schedule (and drove to our home which is soon convenient)!
She made us feel totally at ease - if not with the dancing, at least with her presence =).

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started dancing at the age of 4 and received my dance education in Cuba, with extensive training in Canada, the USA, and Mexico. I’ve been teaching since I was 19, and now, at 44, I know that dancing isn’t a superpower—it’s a skill anyone can learn! 😊
With a little time and practice, you’ll definitely see results. I guarantee you’ll be better than when you started! 💃🕺
