FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Attorneys fees are determined on a case by case basis, depending on the complexity of the case. Fees for immigration matters are always billed on a flat rate basis so that you know exactly what your attorney fee will be and there will be no hidden attorney fees at the end.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I spend time listening to each client to determine how I can best help them. I break things down and explain them in a manner that makes sense and I make myself available to my clients to answer any questions or concerns that they may have. Phone calls and emails are typically returned within 24 hours. I always prepare a fee agreement (flat rate billing) and the client always receives a copy so that he/she knows exactly what they can expect from me.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a practicing attorney for 23 years. I spent 3 years on the bench as a local district court magistrate in Michigan. I have focused my practice exclusively on immigration for the past 8 years. I am a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and attend seminars and keep up to date on the latest trends and changes to the immigration laws. I attended Michigan State University for my Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and obtained my Juris Doctor at the University of Detroit School of Law in 1992. I am licensed in two states (Michigan and Florida) and am AV rated 5 out of 5 by Martindale Hubble.
