About
This is my passion and I have had the privilege to learn from reknown celebrity makeup artists and celebrity hairstylists such as Scott Barnes, Frank Galasso (Jennifer Lopez’ Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist). During my ten years as a Makeup Artist, I have been blessed to be a Makeup Artist for Clinique and Bobbi Brown in the past as well as a Regional Makeup Artist for Trish McEvoy. I am currently a Freelance Makeup Artist for SMASHBOX Cosmetics. I also enjoy passing on my knowledge to others. I had the honor to be a Skincare and Makeup Instructor at John Casablancas International Modeling Center. I provide each client with exceptional service and that has been reflected on their reviews, which earned me "Thumbtack Best Of" 2 years in a row (2015 & 2016). - You may view my awards photo in my profile - I love meeting new people and being able to share their special and fun moments. I was a little hesitant to use thumb tack to find a make up artist, but after my experience with Aura I am so glad I did! I hired Aura to do my make up for my engagement photo shoot with my fiancé. She wasn't the least expensive of the quotes that I received however I liked her pictures and all of her reviews, which is why I decided to hire her. She was very attentive to my needs and made sure she had a good understanding of the look that I was going for before we got started. Throughout the process she had me look in the mirror several times to make sure that I liked the way it was looking so far and ask if there was anything I wanted her to change, which I really appreciated (although there was never a need to change anything). Also, I had told her that my biggest pet peeve is when my face looks more pale then my body and since I'm pretty tan right now that's something I was concerned about. Aura matched the airbrush makeup color to my skin tone perfectly! When she was finished my make-up looked fantastic! Thanks to Aura, I am confident that our engagement pictures turned out great and I plan to use her again for my wedding! The only thing that I would suggest is allowing a little extra time if it's the first time she does your make-up because it did take a little longer then expected... but that's understandable considering that she had never seen me before. Another big bonus is that she keeps all of her make-up very clean and sanitary. She had just run out of disposable mascara wands so decided to open up a brand new tube of mascara to use on me and then gave it to me to keep when she was finished. With all that being said, I would highly recommend her for make-up application.
